Job summary

Panasonic Energy Corporation of North America is seeking a Controls Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience at the Gigafactory. You will learn fundamentals of lithium-ion cell technology and apply them to high-speed, automated manufacturing environments.

The internship is full-time, paid, and runs for 12 weeks across the summer, with expectations to attend the full duration and contribute to safety, quality and productivity improvements.

Qualifications

• Completion of at least two years of full-time enrollment in an engineering program.
• Pursuing Electrical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering with strong fundamentals.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Program, install, and troubleshoot PLC/vision systems within manufacturing.
• Assist with design and programming of HMI and network systems.
• Conduct design/testing to improve production line safety, quality and productivity.
• Analyze machine and test data for improvements.
• Provide engineering support to production teams to resolve issues.
