Job summary

Der Dutchman Restaurant Bellville is seeking an enthusiastic baker/production assistant to join the kitchen team. You’ll bake pies, bread, and doughnuts and use electric mixers and other equipment daily, following established recipes.

The role offers on-the-job training, flexible schedules, and opportunities to learn lifelong hospitality skills while supporting a friendly team at DHG locations in Kentucky. Wednesdays off may apply at some posts.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication with team and customers.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in following recipes.
• Ability to read and understand written recipes precisely.
• Ability to lift and move 10–30 pounds safely.
• SafeServ certification – training can be provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Bake pies, bread, and doughnuts using established recipes.
• Operate electric mixers and other baking equipment.
• Follow established recipes and adjust oven temperatures as needed.
• Mix ingredients consistently to produce quality products.
• Check baked goods for quality and freshness.
• Review production schedules to determine what and how much to bake.
• Maintain clean prep areas and sanitary workspaces.
• Price baked goods and keep shelves stocked in the retail area.
