Job summary

Der Dutchman Restaurant Bellville is seeking a bakery team member to mix, bake and prepare bread and rolls for daily service. You’ll use established recipes, operate mixers, check quality, and restock ingredients in a fast-paced kitchen.

Morning shifts with rotating schedules; Sundays off and on-the-job training. If you enjoy hands-on cooking and serving guests with hospitality, join our team and grow your skills in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Read and comprehend instructions.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Lift and move 15 to 30 pounds.
• SafeServ certification – training available if needed.

Responsibilities

• Mixing and baking bread, dinner rolls, and sandwich buns.
• Use electric mixers and other equipment.
• Use established recipes.
• Mix ingredients consistently.
• Adjust oven temperatures.
• Check baked goods for quality.
• Check production schedule to determine what and how much to bake.
• Restock ingredients.
• Clean shelves, bins, tables and coolers.
