Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager to lead Bakery Clerks and support the Bakery Manager in daily operations. You will oversee merchandising, ordering, inventory controls, and ensure top-notch customer service while maintaining health and safety standards in a fast-paced setting.

The role emphasizes supervising bakery staff, ensuring product quality, rotating stock, and building attractive displays to drive department performance.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old with 2 years retail grocery experience and 2 years supervisory experience.
• Able to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly with positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitize work area.
• Able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, gas disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Stand for up to 3 hours continuously; lift up to 40 lbs as needed.
• Adhere to safety, health and Weights and Measures regulations; obtain Food Handlers permit.

Responsabilités

• Provide excellent customer satisfaction through management and leadership of Bakery Clerks.
• Assist Bakery Manager in daily supervision of Bakery Department operations.
• Manage and merchandise the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering and inventory controls and supervise Bakery team.
• Rotate merchandise and build displays; monitor incoming cases for damages.
• Ensure high-quality Bakery products and customer service; validate sanitation guidelines.
