Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market seeks a Bakery Manager to lead daily bakery operations, oversee production and displays, and drive exceptional customer service in a fast-paced store environment.

You will supervise quality, manage inventory and budgets, and coach team members while ensuring safety and sanitation standards. This role includes scheduling, promotions collaboration, and potential MOD duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' retail grocery experience.
• Able to work flexible schedule including night, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude toward team members and customers.
• Good communication skills; ability to give and take direction in a team environment.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• General housekeeping: clean and sanitize work area.
• Operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, pallet jacks and hand trucks as needed.
• Stand for long periods; lift up to 40 lbs; push/pull heavy loads.
• Adhere to safety, health, and food handling regulations; food handlers permit.
• Knowledge of personnel reports, margin reports, and weekly sales numbers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily bakery output, production, and display of bakery products.
• Supervise product quality, inventory, and budget for the bakery.
• Evaluate operations and implement improvements to procedures.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and proper food handling standards.
• Manage ordering, receiving, unloading, and storage of bakery items.
• Plan staffing and schedules to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Lead coaching, feedback, and performance reviews for team members.
• Attend store meetings and collaborate with Store Manager on promotions.
• Recruit, hire, and promote within the store in partnership with management.
• Serve as Manager on Duty (MOD) as needed to ensure store success.
