Sprouts Farmers Market in Reno, NV is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager to lead Bakery Clerks and assist the Bakery Manager in daily operations. You will drive customer service, inventory control, and product presentation in a fast-paced store environment.

The role requires 2+ years in retail grocery with supervisory experience, strong communication, and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Competitive pay and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of two years' retail grocery experience and two years supervisory experience.
• Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including night, weekends, and holidays.
• Have an outgoing and friendly behavior with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Have good communication skills and the ability to give and take direction in a team environment.
• Be able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the department.
• Be able to operate and use knives, scales, wrappers, and pallet jacks as needed.
• Be able to stand for long periods and handle physical tasks as described.
• Adhere to safety, health, and sanitation guidelines and obtain a Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team.
• Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays.
• Monitor incoming cases for damaged items.
• Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service and monitor the quality of Bakery product.
• Unload and sort through store deliveries, operate and maintain deli equipment.
• Ensure the execution of all company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines/regulations.
