Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager to lead the Bakery Clerks and assist the Bakery Manager in daily supervision of Bakery Department operations. You will help manage merchandising, scheduling, inventory controls, and ensure high standards of product quality and customer service in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a minimum of two years' retail grocery experience and two years supervisory experience.
• Be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Good communication skills and ability to take/deliver directions in a team environment.
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders.
• General housekeeping and sanitation of the department.
• Able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, and hand trucks; weight/size handling requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team.
• Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays.
• Monitor in-coming cases for damaged items.
• Ensure the delivery of excellent customer service and monitor the quality of Bakery product.
• Unload and sort through store deliveries, operate and maintain deli equipment.
• Adhere to safety, health, and sanitation guidelines and ensure the Bakery team follows procedures.
