Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager to lead Bakery Clerks and assist the Bakery Manager in daily supervision of the Bakery Department. You will help manage inventory, maintain product quality, and ensure a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 2+ years in retail grocery with supervisory experience, strong communication, and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with 2+ years in retail grocery and 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with strong customer interaction skills.
• Good communication and ability to take directions in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitation in the department.
• Operate knives, scales, wrappers, pallet jacks and hand trucks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist Bakery Manager in supervising the Bakery Department to maximize productivity and profit.
• Order and manage inventory, ensure product quality and supervise Bakery team.
• Rotate merchandise and build appealing displays.
• Monitor incoming cases for damaged items.
• Ensure excellent customer service and monitor bakery product quality.
• Unload store deliveries and maintain deli equipment.
• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
