Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is hiring an Assistant Bakery Manager in Murray, UT. You will support the Bakery Manager in daily operations, supervise Bakery Clerks, and help ensure product quality and customer service in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires leadership, organization, and strong communication to manage inventory, displays, and safety compliance. Daily tasks include stocking, safety adherence, and engaging with customers to promote healthy choices.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of two years' retail grocery experience and two years supervisory experience.
• Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including night, weekends, and holidays.
• Have outgoing and friendly behavior, a positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Have good communication skills; ability to follow directions and work in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department and sanitize work areas.
• Operate and use knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed.
• Stand for long periods; lift up to 40 lbs and move items across distances.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations and obtain a Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Supervise Bakery Clerks and support daily department operations.
• Monitor inventory, product quality, and displays.
• Ensure safe handling and rotation of merchandise.
• Deliver excellent customer service and monitor bakery product quality.
• Support unloading and stocking deliveries and operating deli equipment.
