Sprouts Farmers Market in Herndon, VA is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager to lead Bakery Clerks and assist the Bakery Manager in daily department operations within a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

You will oversee ordering, inventory, displays, and product quality, while ensuring excellent service, proper safety and sanitation, and training for a team dedicated to healthy living.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 with 2+ years of retail grocery experience and 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• Reliable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly with strong customer interaction skills.
• Good communication and ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to answer phones and take special orders.
• General housekeeping and sanitation responsibilities in the department.
• Ability to operate knives, scales, wrappers, and basic deli equipment.
• Stand for up to 8 hours; lift up to 40 lbs; maintain safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Assist Bakery Manager in supervising Bakery staff and operations.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Bakery team.
• Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays.
• Monitor incoming cases for damaged items and ensure proper handling of products.
• Ensure delivery of excellent customer service and monitor bakery product quality.
• Unload deliveries and maintain deli equipment and work areas.
• Adhere to safety, health, and sanitation guidelines and ensure staff compliance.
