Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. Colorado Springs is seeking a Bakery Manager to oversee daily baking output, display, and quality of bakery products.

You will supervise inventory, budgets, scheduling, and staff development to deliver high-quality bakery items and exceptional customer service. Responsibilities include ensuring food safety, proper sanitation, correct ordering and receiving, and building displays while leading a team in a fast-paced store environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of 2 years' retail grocery experience
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
• Outgoing, friendly behavior toward Team Members and customers
• Strong communication skills and the ability to take direction in a team
• Able to answer phones and take special orders
• General housekeeping and sanitation in the department
• Operate knives, scales, wrappers, pallet jacks and related equipment

Responsibilities

• Manage daily output baking, production, and display of bakery products
• Supervise product quality, inventory, and the bakery budget
• Evaluate department conditions to determine improvements and implement new practices
• Ensure safety, proper food handling, sanitation, and productivity standards
• Responsible for correct ordering, receiving, unloading, and storage
• Rotate merchandise and build displays
• Plan and order to maximize sales and gross profit
• Recruit, hire and promote in collaboration with the Store Manager
• Engage and coach team members; participate in bi-annual performance reviews
• Attend in-store meetings and communicate standards to the team
• Lead scheduling and staffing to ensure maximum productivity
