Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Bakery Manager to lead daily bakery operations, ensure product quality, manage inventory and budgets, and drive safe, efficient, and customer-focused service. You will oversee ordering, receiving, displays, and staff development.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a minimum of 2 years' retail grocery experience
• Be dependable and reliable having the ability to work flexible schedule that changes; including night, weekends, and holidays
• Outgoing and friendly behavior along with a positive attitude towards Team Members and customers
• Have good communication skills; and the ability to give and take direction participating in a team environment
• Be able to answer phones and take special orders
• Perform general housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work area
• Be able to operate and use knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed
• Stand for up to 3 hours continuously, for a total of 8 hours per shift; lift up to 40 lbs.; work a variety of physical tasks

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily output baking, production, and display of bakery products
• Supervise and monitor product quality and consistency, track inventory, and manage the bakery's budget
• Evaluate department conditions and operations to determine strengths and areas for improvement; develop improved practices and procedures
• Ensure company standards for safety, proper food handling practices, sanitation, and productivity are maintained
• Responsible for correct ordering, receiving, unloading, and storage
• Execute rotation of merchandise and building of displays
• Engage and coach team members through feedback and performance reviews
• Attend and participate in in-store meetings and assist with hiring decisions as needed
• Create efficient schedules and staffing levels to maximize productivity
• Communicate standards, expectations, and product knowledge to the team
• Lead a team to deliver high-quality products and excellent customer service
• Serve as a Key Carrier or Manager on Duty as needed
