Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Bakery Manager to lead Bakery Clerks and assist the Bakery Manager in daily operations, ensuring top customer service and department productivity. The role emphasizes team leadership, inventory control, and adherence to safety standards in a fast-paced setting.

You will manage merchandising, supervise staff, and ensure quality while maintaining a positive customer experience and efficient bakery operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years' retail grocery experience and two years supervisory experience.
• Be dependable with flexible schedule including night, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication and friendly customer interaction.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment.
• Must be able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, and related equipment.
• Food Handlers permit or ability to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Assist Bakery Manager in department merchandising for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and Bakery team supervision.
• Rotate merchandise and build displays to attract customers.
• Monitor incoming cases for damaged items and quality control.
• Ensure excellent customer service and bakery product quality.
• Safely unload/store deliveries and operate deli equipment.
• Enforce safety, health, and sanitation guidelines across the team.
