Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Bakery Clerk to prepare and package all baked goods, ensuring quality and presentation in a fast-paced environment. You will assist the Bakery Manager with baking, pricing, and merchandising, deliver friendly customer service, maintain clean work areas, and help stock and rotate bakery items while adhering to safety standards.

This role requires the ability to stand for long periods, lift moderate weights, and work flexible hours including nights and weekends;

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent and bakery experience.
• Be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain a friendly, positive attitude and strong customer service orientation.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping and sanitize work areas.
• Operate bakery tools and equipment safely, including knives and scales.
• Stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs as needed.
• Follow safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations and obtain a Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and package all baked goods.
• Assist Bakery Manager with baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising.
• Provide high level of customer service and ensure proper presentation.
• Keep bakery area clean and sanitary.
• Maintain accurate pricing and rotate stock; discard outdated items.
• Receive and inspect shipments for temperature and quality.
• Support in fast-paced environment and team.
