Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Bakery Clerk to join our bakery team. You will assist in baking, packaging, and merchandising fresh baked goods, while delivering friendly, attentive customer service in a fast-paced store environment.

The position requires 1-2 years bakery experience or equivalent education, 18+ years old, and ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and follow safety guidelines. Flexible scheduling and store perks apply.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a High school diploma or equivalent; 1–2 years bakery experience preferred.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly with the ability to interact with customers.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• General housekeeping and sanitation in the department.
• Able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, and equipment; weigh and label products.
• Stand for up to 3 hours continuously and lift up to 40 lbs with/without assistance.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures; Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods.
• Provide a high level of customer service and ensure items are prepared, packaged, and presented; keep bakery area clean.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment; sweep and sanitize.
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while rotating products and discarding outdated items.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment quality.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment and respond to customer needs.
