Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Bakery Clerk to assist in preparing and merchandising bakery goods. You will provide friendly customer service in a fast-paced setting and help maintain a clean, safe bakery area.

Role includes bagging, pricing, stocking, and taking special orders while following safety and hygiene standards. Flexible shifts, weekend availability, and a team-oriented environment are expected.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a High school diploma or equivalent; with 1-2 years Bakery experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule that changes; including night, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly behavior, positive attitude, and ability to interact with customers.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and participate in a team environment.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work area.
• Ability to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed.
• Stand for up to 3 hours continuously, up to 8 hours per shift; lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods.
• Provide high level of customer service and ensure items are prepared, packaged, and presented with cleanliness in the Bakery area.
• Maintain clean, safe, and sanitary bakery area and equipment; clean shelves and floors; prevent spills.
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy; rotate and discard outdated items.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality.
• Work in a fast-paced environment and contribute to a friendly customer experience.
