Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Bakery Clerk to prepare and package baked goods, assist in managing bakery operations, and deliver excellent customer service in a fast-paced store

Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness, stocking products, handling orders, and ensuring accurate pricing and product quality. Ideal candidates are 18+, with bakery experience and strong teamwork and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a High school diploma or equivalent; with 1-2 years Bakery experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule that changes; including night, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly behavior with positive attitude and ability to interact with customers.
• Good communication skills; ability to take direction and work in a team environment.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Maintain department cleanliness; sanitize work area and equipment.
• Able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Stand for up to 3 hours continuously; lift up to 40 lbs with assistance.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations and obtain Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and package all baked goods.
• Assist Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising baked goods.
• Provide high level of customer service and ensure items are prepared, packaged, and presented properly; maintain cleanliness of Bakery area.
• Keep bakery area clean, safe, and sanitary; clean shelves and floors.
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy; rotate products and discard outdated items.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality.
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
