Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Bakery Clerk to prepare and package baked goods, while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires 18+ with a HS diploma, 1–2 years bakery experience, and the ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 40 lbs, and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. Daily tasks include maintaining a clean bakery and accurate pricing.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with a High school diploma or equivalent; with 1-2 years Bakery experience; or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Dependable and reliable with the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with the ability to interact with customers.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department and sanitize work areas.
• Able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as needed.
• Stand for up to 3 hours continuously and lift up to 40 lbs with proper technique.
• Adhere to safety, health, and Weights and Measures regulations; maintain Food Handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods.
• Provide a high level of customer service and ensure proper presentation of bakery items.
• Maintain a clean, safe, sanitary bakery area and equipment.
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy while rotating products.
• Receive, inspect, and log shipments for quality and temperature.
