Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Bakery Clerk to prepare, package, and merchandise baked goods while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment. You will assist in managing inventory, pricing, and cleanliness of the bakery area to ensure a safe and inviting shopping experience.

The role requires 18+ years old, High School diploma or equivalent, and 1–2 years bakery experience or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent, with 1–2 years bakery experience, or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
• Dependable with flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly behavior, positive attitude, and ability to interact with customers.
• Good communication skills and ability to take direction and work in a team.
• Able to answer phones and take special orders.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department and sanitize work areas.
• Able to operate knives, scales, wrappers, compactors, garbage disposals, pallet jacks, and hand trucks.
• Stand for up to 3 hours continuously and lift up to 40 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Bakery Manager in preparing, baking, packaging, pricing, and merchandising all baked goods.
• Provide a high level of customer service and ensure items are properly prepared, packaged, and presented, while keeping the bakery area clean.
• Maintain a clean, safe bakery area and equipment, including shelves and floors.
• Stock, fill, face, and ensure pricing accuracy; rotate products and discard outdated items.
• Receive, inspect, and log products for shipment accuracy, temperature, and quality.
