Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee, Inc. in Shelbyville, TN is seeking a Retail Production Team Lead to guide backroom operations, donations processing, and pricing while upholding safety, quality, and efficiency.

You will lead a hands-on team, ensure production targets are met, coordinate movement to the sales floor, and maintain donor experiences. The role requires strong organizational skills and willingness to obtain forklift certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree preferred in business, logistics, or related field.
• 1–2 years of production, warehouse, retail, or logistics experience.
• Proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel and online research.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily backroom production operations, including donation intake, sorting, processing, pricing, and material handling.
• Provide hands-on leadership to backroom staff to meet production goals and quotas.
• Monitor workflow to move donated goods from intake to production.
• Ensure quality control standards, accurate sorting, proper pricing, and compliance with guidelines and CPSC requirements.
• Safeguard donated goods and ensure donor experiences are respectful and timely.
• Train and develop backroom team on processes, safety, and daily operational expectations.
• Coordinate movement of processed goods to the sales floor in line with store priorities.
• Enforce safety, cleanliness, and loss prevention practices.
