Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee is seeking a Retail Assistant Store Manager - Backroom Operations to lead backroom functions, donor door stewardship, processing, inventory control, and production workflows. This role drives KPI performance, aligns output with inventory needs, and maintains quality standards to support sales floor readiness and store profitability.

The position requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and a commitment to safety and mission-driven service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree preferred in business, logistics, or related field.
• 2–3 years supervisory/lead experience in production, warehouse, retail, or logistics.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily backroom operations and donor door.
• Ensure smooth workflow from donor intake to sales floor placement.
• Plan, schedule, and direct team work to achieve sales, service, production, and efficiency goals.
• Maintain quality control, inventory movement, and safety standards.
• Support store leadership and cross-training for operational continuity.
