Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee is seeking a Backroom & Production Operations Lead in Lewisburg. This role oversees donation intake, sorting, pricing, and material handling while leading backroom staff to meet daily production goals and quality standards.

You will ensure safety, compliance with CPSC requirements, protect donated goods, and maintain donor service standards. The role supports store readiness and performance with a focus on teamwork and empowerment.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s degree preferred in business, logistics, supply chain, management or related field.
• Experience: 1–2 years in production, warehouse, retail, or logistics environments.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily backroom production operations: donation intake, sorting, processing, pricing, and material handling.
• Provide hands‑on leadership to backroom staff to meet production goals and quotas.
• Monitor workflow to optimize movement from intake to production.
• Ensure quality control and compliance with processing guidelines and CPSC requirements.
• Safeguard donated goods to prevent loss, damage, or misuse.
• Train, onboard, coach, and develop backroom team members on processes and safety.
• Support opening/closing activities and movement of goods to the sales floor.
• Maintain backroom safety and cleanliness and address hazards.
