Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee, Inc. is seeking a Retail Production Team Lead to direct backroom operations, oversee donation intake, processing, sorting and pricing, and maintain safety, quality, and efficiency standards.

You will lead a team to meet production goals while upholding our mission-driven values and donor-centric service. The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and the ability to train and motivate staff across shifts in a fast-paced nonprofit

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Associate’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain, management, retail operations, or related field preferred.
1–2 years of experience in production, warehouse, retail, or logistics environments required.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong organizational abilities are essential.

Responsibilities

Lead daily backroom production operations including donation intake, sorting, processing, pricing, and material handling.
Provide hands-on leadership to backroom staff to meet production goals and quotas.
Monitor workflow and productivity to ensure efficient movement from intake to production.
Ensure quality control and compliance with processing guidelines and CPSC requirements.
Safeguard donated goods and uphold donor experience expectations.
Train, onboard, and develop backroom team members on processes, safety, and standards.
Support opening/closing activities and coordinate movement of processed goods to the sales floor.
