Job summary

Gurtler Industries, Inc. is seeking an experienced customer service professional to support business customers and manage detailed product orders at our South Holland manufacturing facility.

You will work directly with customers and coordinate with Sales, Accounting, Parts, the Lab, Production, Warehouse, Purchasing, and Logistics to answer questions, resolve issues, and keep customer orders moving accurately from receipt through shipment and billing.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of direct customer service and order processing experience for business customers.
• Hands-on experience entering and managing customer orders in ERP/OMS.
• Experience reviewing invoices and verifying pricing.
• Three+ years of detailed data entry with high accuracy.
• Professional phone and email communication with customers.
• Experience coordinating with multiple departments to resolve orders.
• Strong organization and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to work onsite Monday–Friday, 8:00–4:30.

Responsibilities

• Enter, review, and maintain customer product orders, checking item information, quantities, pricing, and delivery requirements.
• Communicate with business customers by phone and email about orders, product availability, questions, changes, and shipment status.
• Prepare and review customer invoices and related documentation; help resolve billing discrepancies.
• Coordinate with internal departments to obtain information, address customer needs, and resolve order issues.
• Track orders, shipments, backorders, and delivery information, providing timely updates.
• Assist with order changes, returns, credits, replacements, and other customer requests.
• Research discrepancies and follow through with customers and coworkers until issues are resolved.
• Maintain accurate account records and manage competing priorities.
