Job summary

Amazon.com’s AWS Infrastructure Services division seeks a Data Center Technician in Sparks, NV to maintain server racks, repair hardware, and troubleshoot networking issues, supporting 24/7 operations.

You will collaborate with engineers, vendors, and contractors, participate in on-call duties, document processes, and travel between data center sites as needed. A valid driver's license and flexible schedule are required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of computer/server hardware troubleshooting or related IT experience.
• High school or equivalent diploma.
• Work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.
• Knowledge of network design, protocols and Layer 1/2 troubleshooting.
• Associate's degree or equivalent experience in CS/Networking.
• Experience managing work and priorities through a ticketing system.
• Experience in a data center or other critical environment.

Responsibilities

• Performing server rack installations, hardware break-fix on various components, troubleshooting network issues, and responding to operational incidents.
• Serving as a primary contact point for internal and external stakeholders.
• Performing on-call duties and participating in scheduled maintenance and change management activities.
• Contributing to documentation and process improvement initiatives.
• Helping to train and onboard new team members.
