Job summary

Synchrony seeks an AVP, Compliance Governance and Reporting Lead to drive governance, risk reporting, and analytics across the Compliance program. You will synthesize complex information into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership and oversee key governance committees and KRIs.

The role leads data-driven improvements, partner across Risk, Legal, and Internal Audit, and evolves the Master Schedule with automation to reduce manual work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in governance, risk, controls, or related field with 3+ years experience in financial services/government.
• Proven experience leading governance, risk reporting, and executive reporting processes in regulated environments.
• Strong written and verbal communication; capable of governance documentation and leadership-ready reporting.

Responsibilities

• Own and enhance Compliance governance routines including senior management forums and develop decision-ready materials.
• Synthesize risk information into concise executive-level reporting for leadership and committees.
• Oversee risk appetite and KRI reporting; ensure quality and standards of metric reporting.
• Manage the Compliance Program Master Schedule with automated reminders and workflow approvals.
• Coordinate regulatory responses and examinations; track commitments and deliverables.
