Synchrony is seeking an AVP, Compliance Governance and Reporting Lead to drive governance, risk reporting, and leadership-ready insights for senior management in a dynamic financial services environment.

The role focuses on optimizing the Compliance Program Master Schedule, risk appetite oversight, and automated analytics. Strong communication and collaboration across Risk, Legal, and Internal Audit are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years in governance, risk, and controls within a financial institution; or 5–7+ years in financial services governance.
• Experience managing complex governance, risk reporting, and executive reporting in a regulated environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication for governance documentation and leadership-ready reporting.
• Experience using risk/tools reporting solutions (eGRC, SharePoint/Teamsites, Tableau).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word; familiarity with workflow/automation tools.
• Ability and willingness to travel for business as required.

Responsabilités

• Enhance key governance routines; prepare agendas, materials, meetings, and action logs.
• Synthesize complex compliance data into concise executive-level reporting.
• Oversee risk appetite and KRI reporting across stakeholders.
• Manage the Compliance Program Master Schedule; enable automation and reminders.
• Coordinate regulatory examinations and supervisory engagements with executive-ready materials.
• Improve governance, analytics, and reporting using Tableau, Excel, and automation.
• Partner across Risk, Legal, Internal Audit and the First Line of Defense to drive initiatives.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
