Job summary

Synchrony is seeking an AVP, Compliance Governance and Reporting Lead to accelerate the effectiveness of the Compliance Program’s governance, risk reporting, metrics oversight, and management reporting routines. This role partners with Compliance Leadership to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in governance, risk and controls within financial services.
• Proven ability to manage complex governance, risk reporting and executive reporting processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication with governance documentation capability.
• Experience using risk/compliance tools (eGRC, SharePoint/Teamsites, Tableau) and reporting solutions.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Word; familiarity with workflow/automation tools.
• Willingness to travel for business as required.

Responsibilities

• Own and enhance Compliance governance routines and senior management forums; prepare agendas, materials, and logs.
• Synthesize complex information into concise executive-level reporting for leadership and committees.
• Oversee risk appetite and KRI reporting; coordinate submissions and ensure data quality.
• Manage the Compliance Program Master Schedule and drive automation via eGRC tools.
• Support regulatory examinations, audits, and supervisory engagements with executive-ready materials.
• Drive continuous improvement of governance, reporting, and analytics; leverage Tableau and related tools.
