Job summary

May Mobility, based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, is hiring an Autonomous Vehicle (AV) Operations Specialist to ensure safe, efficient operations and a great rider experience. You will work with the Site Operations Manager and AV Operators to coordinate daily logistics and support AVs during service.

The role emphasizes safety, data-driven improvement, coaching, and collaboration with engineering. Candidates should have leadership potential, experience in tech or operations, and comfort with Google

Qualifications

• First-time people management role with leadership potential.
• Experience driving processes in fast-changing, customer-focused environments.
• Experience at a technology-focused company.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Docs).
• Valid U.S. Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support autonomous vehicles in real time during operations.
• Ensure shift safety protocols are followed at all times.
• Track site performance metrics for continuous improvement.
• Coordinate with engineering for timely issue resolution.
• Coach and train AV Operators through huddles and ride-alongs.
• Monitor vehicle health using company tools.
• Log feedback on autonomy performance to engineers.
• Maintain records of vehicle operations and performance.
• Investigate accident reports and customer complaints.
• Represent May Mobility as an ambassador to the public.
• Test software changes with focus on safety and provide feedback.
• Travel to other sites for coverage as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
