Job summary

VIP Automotive Group seeks a Service Writer to support the Service Manager and help deliver a superior customer experience. You will engage customers, explain vehicle condition after MPI, and contribute to achieving VIP program standards with accurate SAX scoring.

You will pursue essential LMS and vendor trainings and certifications to advance the service team. Role requires adherence to safety, teamwork, and clear communication, with a standard 5-day work week and 40 hours.

Qualifications

One year of related experience in automotive service field.
Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended.
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence.
Equipment Safety Certification.
ASE Certification C1- Service Consultant required.
ASE Certification P2- Parts Specialist recommended.
ASE Certification G1 - Maintenance and light repair recommended.
State Inspection License Required (where applicable).

Responsibilities

Makes sure that workplace safety is Priority #1 and follows safety policies.
Serve customers by consulting, building relationships, and educating them about vehicle condition based on MPI results.
Achieve above-average customer engagement as measured by SAX score.
Learn VIP processes and execute duties listed to deliver a better customer experience.
Complete LMS and vendor trainings; obtain required ASE and TM certifications as listed.
Maintain facility and equipment in clean, safe condition and ensure readiness for daily operations.
Ensure compliance with Code of Ethics and all regulations; support management to uphold service standards.
Communicate with management to ensure policy and standards adherence.
