Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers is seeking an Automotive Service Manager to lead the service department, coach a motivated team, and work closely with the Store Manager to enhance performance through hands-on leadership in daily operations.

The role emphasizes managing personnel, scheduling shifts, coaching on ISI system processes, and ensuring high standards of customer service and safety in a fast-paced automotive service environment.

Qualifications

• Leadership and store management experience

• Highly organized with attention to detail

• Ability to develop professional relationships with customers and team members
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Service Manager role
• Proven track record of exceeding business objectives
• Solid knowledge of basic OSHA laws and MSDS Compliance

Responsibilities

• Providing leadership in recruiting by assisting the Store Manager on final employment decisions
• Supervising technicians and service personnel; planning, scheduling duties, assigning work, and following up on completion
• Coaching service department teammates on operational issues and ISI systems and service standards
• Working directly with customers on sales, service, opportunities, adjustments
• Evaluating performance and productivity of service department staff
• Managing parts inventory and outside purchases, ensuring compliance with the Tire Purchase Program and restocking parts as needed
• Ensuring store safety and proper equipment layout within the service area
• Supervising shop area, equipment and teammates for safety compliance
• Coaching personnel on wheel torqueing processes
• Ensuring proper inspections are conducted
