Job summary

Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers is seeking an Automotive Service Manager to lead the service department in our store. You will coach technicians, schedule duties, and partner with the Store Manager to uphold our standards of excellence and customer service.

You will recruit support, supervise staff, manage parts inventory, ensure safety procedures, and drive performance while maintaining strong relationships with customers and team members.

Qualifications

• Leadership and store management capability.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented with mentoring ability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to develop professional relationships with customers and team members.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Service Manager role.
• Proven track record of exceeding business objectives.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• Solid knowledge of basic OSHA laws and MSDS compliance.

Responsibilities

• Support store recruiting decisions by assisting the Store Manager.
• Supervise technicians and service personnel; plan, schedule, and follow up on tasks.
• Coach staff on ISI systems usage and service standards.
• Interact with customers regarding sales, service, and opportunities.
• Evaluate performance and productivity of service personnel.
• Manage parts inventory and outside purchases; restock in-house parts as needed.
• Ensure store safety and proper use of safety equipment.
• Oversee equipment layout and department organization.
• Enforce wheel torqueing process and inspections.
