Job summary

Express Oil Change & Tire Engineers is seeking an Automotive Service Manager to lead the service department, coach technicians, and drive store performance with hands-on leadership.

You will supervise shop activities, manage parts inventory, ensure safety procedures, and develop a high-performing team while delivering outstanding customer service and operational excellence in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Leadership and store management experience in a fast-paced automotive service environment.
• Proven ability to mentor and develop team performance and efficiency.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with customers and staff.
• Solid knowledge of OSHA laws and MSDS compliance.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Service Manager role.

Responsibilities

• Supervise technicians and service personnel, plan duties and schedule work.
• Coach team on operational issues and service standards in ISI systems.
• Interact with customers on sales opportunities, service requests and adjustments.
• Evaluate performance and productivity of service staff.
• Manage parts inventory and outside purchases, restock in-house inventory.
• Ensure store safety and maintain safety equipment.
• Layout and position equipment within the service area.
• Supervise shop area and staff compliance with safety procedures.
• Coach staff on wheel torqueing process and enforce inspections.
