Job summary

VIP is seeking a Service Writer to advance our mission of earning automotive customers for life. You will partner with the Service Manager to educate customers on vehicle conditions, build relationships, and deliver a superior service experience in a fast-paced environment.

You will pursue essential certifications (ASE, BATS, TPMS) and participate in training, store meetings, and daily huddles. 5-day work week with 40 hours is typical.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience in automotive service field.
• Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence.
• Equipment Safety Certification and ASE Certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consult with customers to educate them about vehicle conditions based on MPI inspection results.
• Build relationships with customers and follow VIP processes to deliver exceptional service.
• Strive for above-average engagement as measured by SAX scores.
• Execute duties assigned by the Service Manager and participate in team briefings.
• Complete LMS training and vendor training as required; pursue ASE and related certifications.
