Job summary

AutoNation is seeking a Service Advisor to join our nationwide service team in California. You will bridge Service Technicians and customers, explaining repair recommendations in clear terms and identifying up-sell opportunities to keep vehicles safe.

You will set appointments, meet sales and CSI targets, greet customers, and guide maintenance planning using consultative selling. The role emphasizes customer experience, clear communication, and collaboration with technicians.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
• Prior sales experience preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated communication, consultative, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Valid in-state driver’s license and an acceptable, safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Set, confirm and prepare for appointments with customers for a great service experience.
• Meet or exceed targeted sales goals and CSI.
• Greet customers on arrival with a friendly demeanor.
• Determine vehicle needs based on customer information, walk-arounds, inspections and test drives.
• Use a consultative selling process to plan ongoing maintenance for vehicles.
• Produce repair orders with cost and time estimates with full transparency.
• Communicate with technicians and parts associates to ensure timely completion of work.
• Follow up with customers on vehicle status and satisfaction preferences.
• Gain product knowledge to effectively help customers.
