Job summary

AutoNation, a leading automotive retailer, is seeking a Service Advisor. You’ll connect service technicians with customers, explain technician recommendations in plain language, and uncover upsell opportunities to keep drivers safe.

Daily duties include scheduling, meeting sales and satisfaction targets, greeting customers, assessing vehicle needs, and producing repair orders with transparent estimates. You’ll collaborate with techs and parts staff to ensure timely service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven ability to provide an exceptional customer experience.
• Ability to set and achieve targeted goals.
• Prior sales experience preferred but not required.
• Demonstrated communication, consultative, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Willingness to follow up with customers and work with technology.
• Valid in-state driver's license and safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Set, confirm and prepare for appointments for a great service experience.
• Meet or exceed targeted sales goals and customer satisfaction.
• Greet customers and explain Service Technician recommendations in simple terms.
• Determine vehicle needs based on information, walk-around, inspections and test drives.
• Assist customers with cost/time estimates and full transparency of repairs.
• Communicate with technicians and parts staff to ensure timely work completion.
• Follow up with customers on status and satisfaction.
