Job summary

VIP Tires & Service is seeking a Service Writer to join our location in Maine. The role focuses on delivering an exceptional customer experience while following VIP processes and standards.

You will work with the team to communicate clearly and ensure smooth daily operations at the service desk. You will learn and perform essential duties, complete LMS and vendor trainings, and aim for high SAX scores by engaging customers and maintaining service quality.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience in automotive service field
• Completion of a two-year college or technical school program recommended
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
• Equipment Safety Certification
• ASE Certification C1- Service Consultant required
• ASE Certification P2- Parts Specialist recommended
• ASE Certification G1 - Maintenance and light repair recommended
• State Inspection License required (where applicable)

Responsibilities

• Consult with customers, build relationships, and educate them about their vehicle
• Ensure safety policies are followed and maintain a safe work environment
• Contribute to achieving SAX scores through engaging customer interactions
• Learn VIP processes and perform duties assigned by the Service Manager
• Prepare the location and service desk for daily operations
• Communicate effectively with the team during daily huddles and meetings
• Assist in maintaining clean and organized facility and equipment
