Job summary

Graybar is seeking a Sales Engineer - Industrial Automation to support the sales of high-tech automation and control products and work with branch personnel to identify opportunities for products to satisfy customer needs. You will specify products to meet customer requirements, recommend inventory of automation products, and inform staff and customers of new developments in automation technology.

The role also involves providing technical services for operation and maintenance of automation

Qualifications

Minimum 1 year experience in progressively more responsible sales, marketing, and/or field experience.
2 year degree required, Technical college or equivalent.
4+ years experience preferred.
Knowledge of high-tech automation and control products.
Knowledge of engineering principles related to customer automation products.
Knowledge of suppliers' automation products.
Oral and written communication skills.
Interpersonal, organizational and team building skills.
Ability to work effectively with management and evaluate customer needs.
Ability to clearly present complex solutions to non-technical staff.
Extensive travel required.

Responsibilities
