Job summary

Graybar seeks a Sales Engineer - Industrial Automation to support the sales of high-tech automation and control products. You will work with branch personnel to identify opportunities and specify products that meet customer needs.

In this role, you will provide technical services for operation and maintenance, stay informed on product developments, and support customers as well as staff with complex solutions. Extensive travel is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience required in progressively more responsible sales, marketing, and/or field experience.
• 2 year degree required, Technical college or equivalent
• 4+ years experience preferred
• Knowledge of high-tech automation and control products
• Knowledge of engineering principles related to customer automation products
• Knowledge of suppliers' automation products
• Oral and written communication skills
• Interpersonal, organizational and team building skills
• Ability to work effectively with management and evaluate customer needs
• Ability to clearly present complex solutions to non-technical staff
• Ability to make oral and written presentations to internal and external contacts
• Extensive travel required
