Job summary

Graybar is seeking a Sales Engineer - Industrial Automation to drive the specification of automation products and to support sales through technical guidance. You will work with branch staff to identify opportunities, recommend product inventories, and communicate new automation developments to customers and internal teams.

The role requires ability to explain complex automation solutions to non-technical stakeholders, manage customer relationships, and travel extensively to client sites.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of progressively responsible sales/field experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of high-tech automation and control products
• Solid understanding of engineering principles related to customer automation products
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and team-building abilities
• Ability to present complex solutions to non-technical staff
• Ability to travel extensively
