Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Automation / Instrumentation & Controls Engineer to join our Energy and Resources consulting team. This role focuses on developing consulting-based automation and control system design skills within a multidisciplinary group across North America, with opportunities to lead on projects in mining, power, oil & gas, and renewable sectors.

You should be a self-starter with strong communication skills, capable of working in a team and traveling to client sites (~10%).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university.
• 5–10 years of engineering, design, and construction experience in heavy industry, mining, oil & gas, power generation.
• A Professional Engineering license (or the ability to become licensed).

Responsibilities

• Engineering support for multidisciplinary projects from proposals through design phases and start-up.
• Site work including investigations, scope validation, construction, commissioning and start-up support.
