Job summary

Bell and Howell in Howell, MI is seeking a Field Customer Service Engineer to service industrial, robotic and printing equipment, diagnose failures and perform repairs to minimize downtime. You will troubleshoot electronics and mechanics using a digital multimeter and standard testing tools, perform preventive maintenance, and manage parts and service calls.

This role requires strong communication and teamwork, and the ability to work hands-on in industrial environments with travel for training

Qualifications

High School degree or equivalent with 1+ years related industry/equipment experience.
Strong electronics and mechanical background with troubleshooting skills.
Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot and repair industrial products including printing and packaging equipment.
Schedule and perform preventive maintenance inspections on equipment.
Provide support by managing parts inventory and service calls.
Foster positive customer relations and effective communication.
Act as liaison between the customer and other departments.
On-call support for emergencies; respond to calls within established goals.
