Job summary

Bell and Howell in Detroit is seeking a Customer Service Engineer to serve as the primary contact for technical and service-related problems on a wide range of industrial, robotic, and printing equipment. You will diagnose electronic, mechanical, software and system failures using established procedures and provide on-site field support, with on-call availability for emergencies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma with 2-year degree or diploma in electronics/advanced mechanics or equivalent.
• 1+ year of related industry experience with electronics and mechanical systems.
• Strong electronics and mechanical background with troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair industrial printing, packaging equipment and related systems.
• Perform regular maintenance and preventative inspections on-site.
• Manage parts inventory and coordinate with service teams to resolve issues quickly.
• Communicate effectively with customers and document service activities.
• Provide on-call support as needed to meet response time goals.
