Job summary
Cushman & Wakefield is seeking an Automation Engineer to support the site maintenance team in Stockton, CA. The role focuses on ensuring reliable MHE control systems, troubleshooting equipment like conveyors and scanners, and implementing software improvements across PLC/PC controllers and Rockwell software.
Ideal candidates have 3+ years in automation, strong electrical and controls knowledge, and a safety‑minded approach.
Qualifications
- 3+ years cumulative work experience in HMIs, PLCs, and VFDs.
- SCADA systems experience and KPIs.
- Ability to read and modify electrical and mechanical drawings.
- Experience with conveyors and sortation systems.
- Experience with equipment control components (relays, motor starters, VFDs, HMIs).
Responsibilities
- Promote a safe working environment by following procedures.
- Provide guidance on maintaining material handling control and electrical systems.
- Support troubleshooting and software projects for material handling control systems (PLC/PC, Rockwell).
- Escalate downtime issues to vendors or network teams when needed.
