Job summary

CBRE is seeking a skilled Ctrl Systems Engineer / Automation Engineer to support a major online retailer. You will work with controls and maintenance teams on material handling equipment, focusing on preventive maintenance and reliability to maximize equipment performance.

The role involves troubleshooting PLC/PC controllers (Allen Bradley Controllogix/CompactLogix) and SCADA systems, with on-site and remote support. A flexible schedule and strong collaboration with site teams are expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree preferred with 2–5 years of relevant experience.
2+ years PLC programming experience.
2+ years of robotics and SCADA experience.
Ability to work flexible schedule including weekends/nights/holidays.

Responsibilities

Promote a safe working environment by complying with codes and directives.
Troubleshoot and modify software for MHE control systems (PLC/PC).
Serve as first-level escalation on-site or remotely for MHE controls software systems.
Oversee development scope, scheduling, and inspection of work by contractors.
Engineer process solutions and reliability improvements from concept to implementation.
Monitor industrial networks (Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus).
Communicate with leadership and maintenance teams on issues and timelines.
Conduct failure analyses and recommend improvements.
