Job summary
Amcor is seeking an Automation Engineer to drive the safe development, integration, and improvement of industrial manufacturing equipment across multiple facilities. The role combines equipment expertise with project leadership, coordinating with plants, OEMs, and systems integrators from concept to production handoff.
Ideal candidates will have broad knowledge across mechanical, electrical, controls, robotics, and vision systems, with a focus on safety, reliability, and manufacturing
Qualifications
- Experience with industrial manufacturing equipment and production machinery.
- Experience through lifecycle from design to startup and production support.
- Ability to coordinate with plants, suppliers, OEMs and cross‑functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize safety in all engineering activities.
- Lead equipment scope from concept to production handoff with project teams.
- Coordinate interfaces among multiple suppliers and equipment pieces.
- Provide hands‑on troubleshooting and startup support as needed.
- Support RCCA and continuous improvement activities for equipment.
