Job summary

Amcor is seeking an Automation Engineer to support new capital projects from concept to completion in Evansville, IN or remote locations, with a focus on large-scale End of Line automation. The role collaborates with plant teams and corporate engineers to deliver safe, efficient solutions.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on electrical/mechanical experience, the ability to manage multiple projects, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience in a technical field.
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to lead cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with project management and risk assessment.
  • Knowledge of ISO compliance and process improvement is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor safety standards and maintain a safe work environment.
  • Develop scope of work for system solutions with plant teams.
  • Lead project management from scope to delivery.
  • Provide electrical/mechanical support during new projects.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and training.
  • Document SOPs and train maintenance on new equipment.
  • Travel to sites as needed to support projects.
