Job summary

Amcor is seeking a Project Engineer to provide engineering support, define corrective actions, and lead continuous improvement initiatives across plant operations. You will work on reducing downtime, enhancing process efficiency, and developing robust control systems with PLC/HMI expertise.

Responsibilities include design of safety devices, project management of capital initiatives, and collaboration with vendors and plant personnel to ensure compliant, reliable equipment performance.

Qualifications

• College degree in hydraulics, pneumatics, electronics, industrial electricity or related field.
• Knowledge of TPM; experience creating and implementing TPM programs preferred.
• Knowledge of safety programs/OSHA regulations regarding hot work, confined spaces, electrical safety, contractor safety, cranes, hoists and Lifts, etc. required.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, develop and implement activities to reduce machine downtime while increasing process efficiency.
• Review, assess and design safety devices and controls as needed.
• Research, design, and develop controls systems for industrial use with engineering knowledge and vendor input.
• Plan department activities based on production schedules to optimize manpower and facilities.
• Develop and administer web-based control system tools using SharePoint, Ignition, Python, HTML/CSS, JavaScript.
