Job summary

Amcor is seeking an experienced Engineering/Plant Supervisor to manage engineering and maintenance resources for active plant operations. You will oversee capital projects to cut costs, reduce waste, and boost efficiency, quality, and safety across the facility.

The role requires a BS in Engineering, 5+ years in engineering/manufacturing, and 1+ year supervisory experience. Proficiency in MS Office, MS Project, and AutoCAD is expected as you drive continuous improvement and reliability.

Qualifications

• BS Engineering required.
• 5+ years related engineering and/or manufacturing experience.
• 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Proficient with MS Office, Microsoft Project, AutoCAD or equivalents.
• Engineering background with in-depth knowledge of plant manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Acts as a safety leader and puts safety first in all responsibilities, working with the EHS Manager.
• Interfaces between maintenance, manufacturing, contractors, and engineering.
• Establishes staff performance targets and tracks KPI progress.
• Educates contractors on company policy and procedures.
• Prepares plant capital budget and initiates capital projects including estimates and approvals.
• Collaborates with internal and external resources to improve machines and facility.
• Develops specifications for production equipment and supports installation.
• Follows capital projects from idea to implementation in the plant.
• Maintains capital project cost tracking and reports quarterly expenditures.
• Develops and follows project schedules for equipment implementation.
• Leads the PM Pillar and initiatives to improve equipment reliability.
• Monitors spare parts and maintains just-in-time inventory.
• Ensures preventive maintenance keeps equipment in good condition.
• Manages maintenance of grounds, building and parking lots.
• Promotes a strong safety culture and compliance with EHS policies.
• Fosters Amcor Core Values and a high-performance culture.
• Enforces all company policies and procedures.
• Strives to meet or exceed plant business plans and KPIs.
• Integrates WCOM initiatives into the plant culture.
