Job summary

Amcor is seeking an Automation Engineer to support end-of-line automation projects from concept to completion in Evansville, IN or remote in the Midwest/Eastern US. You will drive project scope, lead multi-plant initiatives, and provide hands-on electrical/mechanical support through launches.

The role emphasizes safety, training of production and maintenance teams, and ongoing process improvement with travel to multiple sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in technical field or equivalent experience.
• Ability to manage project scope and identify/act on project risks.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Experience with end-of-line automation in packaging industries.
• ISO compliance experience.
• Ability to travel domestically up to 50–80%.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and apply safety standards to maintain a safe working environment.
• Develop detailed scope of work for system solutions with plants.
• Lead project management from scope through system delivery.
• Provide electrical/mechanical installation support during launches.
• Support current and future continuous improvement projects.
• Create training materials and SOPs for equipment use.
• Train production and maintenance teams on new equipment.
• Ensure adherence to company, industry, and regulatory procedures.
• Participate in post-project reviews.
